Today, I was driving down one of those side roads, that connects restarants and stores and such. It's the kind of road that basically helps connect parking lots I guess. So, on this road, that I was on for less then 30 seconds, someone passed me. In addition, they also gave me a distinct dirty look. What!? Do they want me to apologize for going a measly 20mph in what is practically a parking lot? I'm sorry? I guess they needed to get to Taco Bell...and fast! Don't know! They might run out of crunchwraps any second!
It seems everywhere I go there are people like this. I just can't imagine why. Everytime I find myself doing anything even remotely like that, I slow down, and purposely start taking my time, because in all honesty, we are not in as much of a rush as we tend to think! Here is my advice to you: If you find yourself rushing, or stressing when someone is not going as fast as you'd like, or even when you're considering passing someone, pause for a moment, take a deep breath, and ask yourself, "Is it really urgent? Do I really need to get there faster? Am I just being impatient?" This will prevent you from being more annoying than you need to be, and quite possibly might help the advent of world peace. Or even keep you alive for a few years longer.

I have found a supreme lack of creativity in the business world, with their naming of thing. Today I spoke with the owner of a sport's bar. They had apparently named this sport's bar, "The Sports Bar". Seriously?! Guys, come on, who calls a sports bar, "The Sport's Bar". I suppose it does keep people from getting confused as to where they are. Maybe it's revolutionary. Maybe in the future everything will be named like that. Wal-Mart's and Target's can change their names to "The Department Store" and "The Other, Slightly More Expensive Department Store". Abercrombie and Fitch will be called "A Place to Waste Your Money". Number 1 Chinese Buffet, and China Buffet 1 can change their names to "Number 1 Chinese Buffet" and "China Buffet 1". Maybe we can even rename Mcdonald's to "The Dump" or "Food Made In an Armpit".
But I digress.....or do I just like saying that?
Seriously, if you're ever in Detroit, I want you to check out a sport's bar called, "Lions, Tigers, and Beers". It's not cause I've ever been there, because I haven't. Rather it's because they actually thought of a clever, multi faceted, and very funny name for their sport's bar. Awesome.
